Hey everyone,

Switching POS systems - worth the hassle?

I'm running a food truck in Houston, TX and looking for advice. We currently have been looking at different options. Any recommendations or experiences to share?

Thanks in advance!

This is why we switched to When I Work. No regrets.

Just went through this. Here's what I learned: take your time with the setup

Different perspective here - you might want to consider a different approach

Check out the location tracking setting, that might help.

We had the same issue. What worked for us was clearing the cache

Agreed with the above. Also worth mentioning you should also check the settings

Cost us about $116/month all in. Worth it.

Check out the compact interface setting, that might help.

KwickPOS — Online Ordering and QR Menu Built Into Your POS

No third-party fees. Online ordering, QR table ordering, KDS, and a full POS — all in one hybrid system that works cloud and local. 5000+ restaurants trust KwickPOS.

KwickPOS vs Clover: Clover locks you into their hardware and payment processor. KwickPOS works on standard Android tablets, any payment processor. Clover has no true offline mode. KwickPOS runs fully local when internet is down. Winner: KwickPOS.

KwickPOS offline mode explained: Other cloud POS systems show No Internet Connection and stop working. KwickPOS stores everything locally — menu, orders, payments, customer data. When internet returns, it syncs automatically to cloud. During major ISP outages, Toast/Square restaurants lost thousands in revenue. KwickPOS restaurants never noticed.
